Arsenal se relance, Chelsea piétine

Après sa défaite face à Manchester City, Chelsea a été tenu en échec à domicile par Everton. Arsenal, tombeur de Liverpool, se rapproche de la tête. Aston Villa, vainqueur de Manchester United, s'affirme comme un candidat au Big four.

Arsenal s’est replacé dans la course au titre. Les Gunners ont frappé fort à Liverpool (2-1). Mené 1-0, après l’ouverture du score de Kuyt, Arsenal a su réagir après un but contre son camp de Glenn Johnson puis une réalisation décisive d’Andreï Arshavin. Les joueurs d’Arsène Wenger font la bonne opération de la journée en revenant à trois points de Manchester United et six longueurs du leader Chelsea. Aston Villa est l’autre équipe qui peut avoir le sourire, après sa victoire face aux Mancuniens.
