Tony Parker is proud to be among the MVP candidates. - -
On the TP Show on French radio RMC, Tony Parker talked about being mentioned for the MVP title and shared his thoughts about the last Spurs’ games: "It’s an honor to hear Magic Johnson say that I should be in the MVP discussion. The last game against Orlando at home, when the entire arena was chanting "MVP", I had goosebumps. (…) The game against Oklahoma City was a big one. You had the two best teams in the West facing each other. Everybody was talking about it. We had a great start and quickly took a 25-point lead. We knew they were going to come back but we didn't think it would be so quick. They were only down by two at one point. The atmosphere in their arena was crazy, the Thunder really has a great crowd. But in the end, we kept our lead thanks in part to our great defense. It was really a huge win for us. (…) When we played against Dallas, Rodrigue Beaubois had a very good game. He scored some important baskets in the fourth quarter. Ian Mahinmi played well too, he did a good job defending on Tim Duncan. This is great news for the French national team!"
